| | Single Dads..... Any Chance for them??? Posted: Aug 18, 2008, 12:53 PM WET | Hi ladies and thanks for replies.
Yes i should Clarify, Yes they all live with me, this is their base as it were, their home and school.. They see their mum 2 nights a week and 4 on every third week. But i'm the one who cares, cooks, cleans, and looks after everything.
And you know what?............ i wouldn't change it for the world!!.. i love it, i'm in a good house, 3 big gardens, kids are great we do all sorts together, play daft games, or they help in house and garden.
My twins 4 , start school proper after the hols, so that should be fun!.. all day school!.... along with their brother 9. So i have been trawling shops for uniforms!..
So thanks for the comments ladies and gents.. Hope to read many more... Love my kids but it can be the loneliest job in the world!..
Cheers folks..

is it harder for single mums or dads?
Very interesting question! My ex was a single dad when I met him, with a son living with him and a daughter living abroad with her mum. I will be honest, it wasn't easy, but it was very rewarding. However the relationship ended badly and one of the hardest things for me is the fact that he wont let me have contact with his son, despite the fact we were together 2 1/2 years and lived together for 2 years.
I am a single mum now (yes, the ex above is the dad, and no he doesnt see his daughter - his choice entirely) and have found meeting people very very difficult. I am 27 and have a 14 month old daughter, and my experience so far is that no one wants to get involved with a woman with a baby, no matter what. I have been on my own with my daughter now for a year.
However I do think that having children of your own changes you (at least it has changed me and this is just my opinion of course!). It has made me far more wary of meeting people and dating - I guess I am just worried about messing my daughter about?
Just my (very long) opinion of course! lol
